We live in the N.GA Mtns w/bears & cabins everywhere We just wanted to rent a little cabin in Sevierville/P
Positive: It was clean… but so dangerous for children! We had to leave mid-week of our vacation and pay even more for something safe. We paid $1600 for a week at this house, plus over $150 at Walmart for fans & utensils & all the basics… plus another $75 to use the “included pool” for 3 days- and you are 30-45 minutes away from anything- including Walmart. So disappointed 😢 We left 3 days early to try and salvage the last few days of our vacation.
Negative: It is definitely NOT for children of any age. It’s very, very dangerous. The “neighborhood bear family” as the owner called them- literally chase your children. You can’t even take out the trash w/out one of them waiting for you. Plus the road the house is on is only a one-way road and it’s treacherous. Then there’s the “community pool” you supposedly have included w/your stay… it isn’t and the women who run it will disrespect you horribly. And then there’s the house itself; which is not family friendly! There are no shoes allowed in the home and there are pebbles and rough spots that cause injury throughout the house. And there’s nothing to prepare an actual family meal… not even a spatula to flip a pancake with- and No vent for stove/oven… so the piercing fire alarm goes off forever while preparing any/every meal. The refrigerator won’t distribute water and only makes at most- 4 ice cubes per hour. And there’s multiple flickering lights that will cause a seizure for anyone light sensitive- so you have to keep neon/and kitchen lights turned off. And do not plan on using the internet for anything… there’s a 2step log in so no device can be connected at all- and hotspot is not supported either.

Roomy, cozy and very clean cabin
Positive: The location of the Moondance’s cabin is perfect just a few miles up in the mountains from pigeon Forge and a short drive to the entrance of the national park. It’s immediately welcoming and cozy with a beautiful front deck and screen porch with rocking chairs. And inside it’s very new and clean and cozy with an easy to use gas fireplace and easy to use hot tub on the screen porch. Spa towels were provided. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. There is a very cool weatherproof igloo dome for sitting outside in all kinds of weather as well as a small gas fire pit on the deck. The hosts, April and Chase, were in touch before, during our stay and at departure to answer any questions and provide any support needed.
Negative: I wish the main upstairs bedroom had some hooks for hanging clothes.

Best cabin in the area by far!
Positive: 5-Star Review
We had an absolutely fantastic time at the Moondance Cabin in Sevierville! The cabin was stunning—newly updated with modern touches while maintaining that cozy, rustic charm we love. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway with the family.
The location was ideal, offering both tranquility and easy access to local attractions. We especially appreciated how clean and well-maintained everything was. The thoughtful updates made it feel luxurious, yet it still had a warm, welcoming vibe.
This is a place we’d recommend over and over again to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. Thank you for an unforgettable experience—can’t wait to come back!
Negative: Nothing

Excellent
Very close to Smoky Mountains NP, which is where we spent most of our time. The property was clean and in good repair. There was plenty to entertain ourselves and our kids in the evening after hiking and exploring. It was a great spot for our family of 6.
Good to know
